The Passing of Carla M. Zimmermann

It saddens me to inform you of the passing of Carla M. Zimmermann, 91, mother of Lanie Steinwart, associate professor of communication, College of Arts and Sciences, passed away April 16 from complications of a stroke. Mrs. Zimmermann was a 1955 graduate of Valparaiso University. 

A memorial service will be held on May 3 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 5233 E. 79th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Calling will begin at 10:00 a.m.. (EST) 

Donations in Mrs. Zimmermann’s memory may be made to Cross and Crown Lutheran Church or Valparaiso University.

Please remember Lanie, her husband Scott (VU ’87), and her brother Bob (VU ’83) as they mourn their loss.
