W-2 Information

Still looking for your W-2 in the mail?

If you have not received your W-2 in the mail, please check to see if you have previously ‘consented’ to only receive an electronic version of your W-2. You may verify this in Self Service by following the instructions below.

A new option for the calendar year 2023 is to access your W-2 electronically and skip receiving the paper W-2 in the mail! Previously, paper copies were mailed even if consent to receive electronically was elected, however in an effort to increase efficiency, we were able to uphold the election. Notification of this change was communicated in the December issues of the Campus Chronicle, so we are hopeful everyone read it, but wanted to provide a reminder.

 

Please follow these quick & easy steps to review your current selection:

  • Login into: datavu1.valpo.edu/Student/ OR go to the Resources & Services portal and select Self Service under the Employee heading (upper right)

  • In Self Service select Employee

  • Select Tax Information

  • Select W-2 Information tab at top

‘Electronic W-2 Consent History’ (on the right side of the screen) will provide the timestamp when consent was given. Your W-2’s will be listed on the left side of the screen and available for you to download or print.

 

If you would like to consent to receiving your W-2 electronically going forward:

  • Select Change Preferences

  • Select ‘Receive my W-2 only in electronic format’; Save; “Consent Given” will now show under Electronic W-2 Consent History

You will now have access to your W-2 as soon as it is available ~ no more waiting for the mail!
